Yana Kurilova

Develops architectural project concepts, leads a team of architects, and serves as a mentor to her staff. She graduated from MARHI. Yana has been passionate about drawing since childhood, which ultimately led her to architecture.

«Interestingly, architecture always exists at the intersection of many disciplines. You can't simply design a building—you always need to look at the concept from multiple perspectives, from philosophy and spatial staging to project economics and structural design. I'm rarely inspired by architecture itself. Often a musical composition inspires me, and I think I could design a building resembling that music,» Yana shares.

At IND, she worked on the Omsk airport project: «It seems that large-scale projects like this concentrate all architectural experience—distinctiveness, place identity, logistics, clear navigation, construction beauty, and well-thought-out engineering systems.»
