Concept
The campus is built for students of the IQanat school in the Burabay district (Kazakhstan), on the shore of Lake Shchuchye. Surrounded by forest, near a National Park. The building volume is inspired by the surrounding nature — tiers layer upon one another like rock formations.
The project design incorporates unique architectural solutions for creating a comfortable environment. Accent recesses in the building volume symbolize smooth stone contours shaped by water. They also highlight primary movement vectors and establish rhythm.
In warm weather, terraces can host classes, while year-round outdoor recreation areas are available. Panoramic glazing faces the lake and forest. The building's center features an atrium where students from different classes can socialize and hold school-wide events.
