Concept
The landscape concept envisions the courtyard as the project’s central “stage,” framed by the U-shaped building, which naturally defines the space.
It unfolds as a non-linear sequence of paths and micro-scenes: intimate green rooms, sheltered corners, and smooth transitions of planting and light. Rather than following prescribed routes, residents navigate the courtyard by atmosphere and intuition, creating their own personal journey with each visit.
All elements are designed to encourage interaction. Layers of texture, sound, lighting, and greenery form a sensory-rich environment, while the system remains intentionally dynamic.
Modular furniture, movable planters, and carefully selected art pieces allow the courtyard to evolve over time, adjusting its “set design” to the needs of the residents and the rhythms of the seasons.
A natural height difference on the site, initially seen as a constraint, became a defining spatial feature.
Despite its modest size, the space feels enclosed and layered, evoking a private garden.
Transitions between levels create a shift in perspective: as residents move through the courtyard, they encounter different views and vantage points, adding variety within the context of dense urban development.
