The landscape concept of the Volzhskiye Terrases project is built around water as the main axis of the district’s life. Water is present at all scales: from cascades, ponds, and dry fountains on the main square to drinking fountains and the “Drinking Fountain” art object, which symbolises the connection to the spa and resort heritage of the site.
The central element is the amphitheatre, which reveals the meaning of the terrace as a gathering place and event hub, along with cascading fountains and dry fountains that create a dynamic environment along the pedestrian boulevard and viewing terraces.
Private spaces are differentiated by housing class. For Comfort+ quarters, large children’s playgrounds, sports complexes, and educational pavilions are provided; for Business class – unique playgrounds, viewing terraces overlooking the Volga, and pergolas; for Premium class – private terraces, ponds, and workout zones; for villas – scenic terraces, private gardens, swimming pools, and BBQ areas. Courtyards are designed as quiet, green spaces with a focus on comfort for all age groups.
Greening is based on the principles of modern urban landscape, biodiversity, and seasonal decorativeness. Large trees (Norway maple, Siberian fir, Siberian pine, Maack’s bird cherry), shrubs (viburnum, ornamental apple trees), and perennial flower beds (yarrow, veronicastrum, columbine, hybrid geranium) are used.
