Analysis
Staraya Ladoga is one of the oldest settlements in Rus, where over a thousand years ago the trade routes "from the Varangians to the Greeks" and "from the Varangians to the Arabs" intersected. The design site is located on the steep bank of the Volkhov River next to a burial mound that, according to legend, is believed to be the final resting place of Oleg Veshchiy Park.
Today, the burial mounds are a brief stop at the end of the tourist route through the heritage site.

Creation of a historical and cultural park dedicated to the era of Oleg Veshchiy Park, transforming the burial mounds of Staraya Ladoga into a new tourist destination and revealing the history of the site through landscape
Positioning
Immersion into the era of Oleg Veshchiy Park is built through a continuous route, where the museum provides knowledge of history, the landscape park shapes a physical experience of that epoch, and the glamping allows visitors to live in its rhythm.
Each level holds the visitor from a couple of hours to several days, expanding the tourism offering of the entire Staraya Ladoga.

Kurgan Museum
The Museum-Kurgan is embedded into the terrain and continues the line of hills along the Volkhov riverbank. From a distance, it reads as an earthen mound; up close, as a green roof draped over house-like halls, rotated at different angles, much like the buildings in old settlements without a regular plan.
You can walk across the roof and peer into the light wells; the museum's panoramic windows open onto the reconstructed traces of the settlement.

Six halls follow the path of Oleg the Prophet, connected by a corridor of legends. Each hall engages a different sense: an interactive floor traces the routes of the Varangians, mist and audio effects recreate a popular assembly, scent stations fill the hall with the sounds and aromas of trading Ladoga, and a luminous silhouette of a horse accompanies the prophecy made to Oleg.

From the museum, traces of an actual settlement are revealed.
Landscape park
The Prophetic Path allows visitors to travel back in time — it is the main route through the park, physically recreating the geography of Oleg the Prophet's campaigns: the territory is divided into five landscapes. On the steppe path, visitors walk through a labyrinth of tall grasses and experience the era through scent; on the forest path, they hear the voice of a volkhv in a clearing, reading the prophecy to Oleg; on the river path, they haul a longship across a wooden portage themselves.
The architecture of the park along the Prophetic Path is complemented by art objects and interactive installations that draw visitors into a long stroll and sustain the atmosphere of the era.

The park's art objects also serve as venues for the event program — from seasonal festivals to nighttime performances.
